The 26.5-ounce crispy fried onion package can support several recipe preparations. Measure each recipe’s requirement separately and protect the remaining topping from steam while the main dish is cooking.

Crispy fried onions can add texture to a casserole, side dish or other recipe that calls for an onion topping. Measure the amount for your recipe before adding it, and keep the remaining supply closed while you cook. Using a separate bowl for the portion you need helps prevent steam or moisture from reaching the package.

Follow the recipe for when to add the topping. Some dishes call for onions during baking and others add them near the end, so using the same timing for every recipe may affect texture. Keep the topping separate until needed when preparing components ahead of a gathering. Do not infer that the product is suitable for a dietary restriction without checking its current label.

Store the unused contents according to the package directions and protect them from crushing, moisture and kitchen splashes. Use clean, dry utensils each time you take a portion. The listed net weight helps with comparison, but the number of recipes it will cover depends on how much each recipe requires. Plan for the other ingredients separately and keep perishable casserole components stored at the temperatures required for those foods.

Before choosing quantities, compare this package with what you already have available. Set aside suitable storage space and plan how the contents will be used across your upcoming meals, gatherings or regular routine. Package size, container count and individual portion size mean different things, so use the product title and current label together when comparing options.
